The preparation process of the (5th Reconciliation Report) was overseen by MSG members

The MSG meeting held at MoMP under the leadership of her Excellency the acting minister of Mines & Petroleum Ghazal Habibyar-Safi, MSG members from MoMP, MoF, MoCI, civil society, private sector and AEITI’s employees participated in the session and observers from GIZ, US embassy, British embassy, UNAMA and the World Bank also took part in the meeting. The session was inaugurated by introduction of the meeting’s agenda by honorable Mr. Mahmood Anwari the national coordinator of AEITI. Various issues were undertaken in the meeting. A presenting in regard of the preparation process of AEITI’s 5th Reconciliation Report was presenting by Hart Group, after the completion of the presentation a question and answer session took place and the MSG members shared their comments and views about the preparation process of (5th Reconciliation Report). Later on, the elections issue of the private sector and civil society was also discussed, that both private sector and the civil society must introduce their new elected members through elections for MSG membership.
A brief about the BO (Beneficial Ownership) was also discussed with MSG members, and a piece about BO definition and BO roadmap was shared with MSG members for a proposed definition to be given to BO. A point to be mentioned that BO must be implemented in Afghanistan by 2020 and before the due date MSG has full rights and time to bring any necessary amendments to BO definition and BO roadmap as it was discussed in the MSG meeting.
