AEITI’s MSG held its 50th Standard Meeting

 

The 50th MSG meeting, chaired by Mohammad Ateeq Zaki, Deputy Minister of Policy and Facilitation of Extractive Programs of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, was held on Tuesday 30th March 2021 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, at the Museum Hall of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum.

During the meeting, the annual progress report, work plan and action plan, Terms of Reference, operational procedure and communication strategy and other issues related to the Multi-Stakeholder Group (MSG) were discussed.

Welcoming the members of the group, Mohammad Ateeq Zaki, Deputy Minister of Policy and Facilitation of Extractive Programs of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, said: MSG has recently made good progress and has had fruitful achievements in the areas of transparency in revenue collection, disclosure of contracts and information about beneficial owners, and the process of preparing the AEITI report.

Mohammad Ateeq Zaki called on the members of the group to carry out their responsibilities properly so that there would be no setbacks in the EITI process in Afghanistan.

At the end of the meeting, it was decided that the above-mentioned documents would be read by the members of MSG within the next week, which will result to submit their opinions so that their opinions would be included in the final documents.
